Shalom! We had another fun-filled day at Religious School this morning! Remember, there is no Hebrew School this Wednesday, and no Religious School next Sunday. Happy Thanksgiving!
Special Note:
We are starting an online community and would love you to join! In order to connect Temple Beth Shalom members to each other more organically, we have developed a new Social Networking site for TBS members. It’s called a “ning.” If you use facebook (I’ve been addicted for years) or other social networking sites, this is similar. However, the key is that this is a Social Network of Just Temple Beth Shalom members and prospective members. We are hoping that people will be able to more easily contact one another, to make plans to meet at Religious School (delicious coffee in the Mezzanine), services or for dinner some night. We are hoping that this online community will strengthen our TBS community and give all of us new tools to get to know each other better.

Here are some of the Highlights from the morning:
The Kindergarten class heard stories about Shabbat, made pictures and even baked some amazing Challahs in the kitchen! Check out the pictures!
- Attention Attention! Holden, one of our Kindergarten students, lost a tooth recently and gave his tooth-fairy money to tzedakah! Great job, Holden! Hopefully we can all be this dedicated in giving tzedakah!
- The Jewish Federation Tzedakah challenge ended today! All the classes did a great job. The winning class will be announced after Thanksgiving!
The Music classes started preparing for our Channukah Celebration on Friday, December 19th! Come and see your child on the bimah! More details will follow.
- In the Mitkadem Hebrew program, more kids are passing into new ramot each week. Following Thanksgiving we will be splitting Ramah 7 into two classes, as there are more than 20 kids who are there so far!
- The High School classes took a day off from their regular curriculum to play a few rounds of Jewish Apples to Apples.

There will be NO midweek Hebrew on Wednesday, November 26th
- There will be NO Religious School on Sunday, November 30th.
- Consecration is Friday, December 5th at 6:15 p.m.

- On Saturday, December 6th, BeSTY will participate in a Columbus-wide Reform lock-in! BeSTYites, see Nora or any board members for details!
- On Sunday, December 7th, JuBeSTY, the 7th and 8th grade Youth Group will participate in the Latke Olympics! This program will begin after Religious School and will conclude by 3:00 p.m.
The next Club 56 program is an Undernight on Saturday, December 13th at Temple. We will eat dinner, do a scavenger hunt, watch a movie, have ice cream sundaes and much much more!
- Mitkadem Online! Our Mitkadem Helper Website is up and running. Right now we have Ramah 3, Ramah 6 and Ramah 7 up on the site to download and work at home. We will be adding Ramot 9, 10, 11 and more ASAP. We are also in the process of recording mp3s of the Mitkadem prayers for students to download. Because we are using copyrighted material on the site (just for study purposes – we buy LOTS of originals to actually use in class), the site is password protected.
