Shalom Religious School Parents!
Message from Rabbi Benjy Bar-Lev, Director of Education
Dear Religious School Parents,
Shalom! Ok, this is the LAST of our High Holy Day themed weekly emails! It’s hard to believe that we are coming upon Simchat Torah, the last of the fall holidays. If you missed the family services on Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur and missed the Spectacular Sukkot Celebration, you still have ONE MORE CHANCE!
This TUESDAY EVENING, October 21, at 6:15 p.m. we will have our Simchat Torah family celebration. Singing, dancing and fun with the Torah will be followed by a sweet ice cream sundae bar! It’ll be great!
Here’s a special Simchat Torah message from Music Director Gail Rose:
I would like to inform you of a wonderful opportunity available to your child during the Tuesday, October 21st, 6:15 Simchat Torah Service.
During our Sunday School music classes we have been learning songs and dances that educate about and celebrate Judaism. One of the dances that our 4th and 5th graders have been working on, Mayim, and the K - 3rd grade song,Tora Li, will be included in the Simchat Torah service. All of my students are welcomed and encouraged
to perform during the Simchat Torah Service.
I hope that your child and family can participate in our Simchat Torah Service. I look forward to celebrating with you!
L'Shalom,
Gail Rose

As always, click here to see tons of great pictures from this morning. Many of the students have taken to calling the Madrichim Photographers The Paparazzi. They must be doing their jobs well! There are also many pictures from our Erev Sukkot celebration. Enjoy! www.tbsohiokt.com

Here are some of the Highlights from the morning:
As always, see PICTURES from this morning! www.tbsohiokt.com
- The Kindergarten class heard a great story about Sukkot and helped to decorate the Sukkah and make it beautiful!
- The First Graders started off the morning with The Great Sukkah Competition of 5769. Ask your student about his or her sukkah!
-
The Second Graders, Third Graders and Fourth Graders had special time with Rabbi Apothaker and me and our friend the Torah. Students got to see, hold and learn about the Torah in an up-close and personal way. Ask your student about their time with the Torah.
- The Eighth Grade class had a great morning learning from our new Young Israeli Shlicha, Libby Bear. The students had a great time learning with Libby.
- The younger students had a fun service this morning with Rabbi Apothaker and Leah. They are loving their new prayer space and Rabbi A's great stories!
- The older students had a Torah Competition during services where each grade had to write their own section of our School Torah. Each section is supposed to be decorated to represent that particular grade. They are very artistic. Our School Torah will be on display at Simchat Torah on Tuesday night!
