Shalom and happy new year! For those of you who attended one or more of our High Holy Day services for children and families, we hope you enjoyed them as much as we did! - Wednesday, October 22 at 6:15 p.m.
We hope to see you for one of these great services!
Here are some of the Highlights from the morning:
As always, see PICTURES from this morning! www.tbsohiokt.com
- The first graders and third graders enjoyed the nice weather and went down to the creek for a lesson on Taslich. They threw their sins into the water and then threw themselves onto the playground!
- Rona is taking the school by storm! Ask your child about the crazy Rona dance in music class.
- The sixth grade class spent some special time on the bima seeing the Torah up close for their lesson before blowing off some steam outside as well!
- The seventh grade made skits and videos about the Akedah (the story of the Binding of Isaac). We're hoping to upload these to the website soon!
- The High School kids had a day of learning about "Teshuvah" by watching part of the movie "Mean Girls." (sadly, I own a copy of this) Discussion to follow next week!
The school gathered together for our monthly all-school service. We sang, danced and had another visit from our characters on their way to the Hannah Montanaberg concert. Our High School students are great actors and did a wonderful job. This month's middah (Jewish value) is "Pee-ku-ach Neh-fesh." Pee-ku-ach neh-fesh is the Jewish value of saving a life. We Jews hold the commandment to save human life above every other commandment. Ask your child about the Hannah Montanaberg Schtick!

Upcoming Events :
Yom Kippur! Check out the Window at www.tbsohio.org for service times. Hope to see you throughout the day at Temple!
- Because of Yom Kippur, there will be no Wednesday Hebrew again this week. See you next week!
- Next Sunday, October 12th, we will have a real live FIRE TRUCK and FIRE FIGHTERS coming to Temple for Religious School. Our Jewish Value for the month is Saving a Life. The kids will have a chance to see and sit in the truck and hear about how these fire fighters save lives every day. Stop by!
The next BeSTY Senior Youth Group program is a Sukkah Extravaganza on Sunday, October 12th!
- On Sunday, October 19th, the 7th and 8th grade JuBeSTY youth group is going having a Laser Tag Extravaganza! Watch the mail for more details soon!
