Shalom Religious School Parents!
Message from Rabbi Benjy Bar-Lev, Director of Education
Shalom Religious School Families,
And the winner is… everyone! We had a fantastic final day of Religious School on
Sunday morning. Students came to Religious School dressed in their team colors and we had an entertaining, hilarious and ridiculous
Maccabia. Events ranged from the Roasted Egg Toss to the Shalosh Regalim 3 Legged Race, to the Get Dressed for Temple Relay Race, to
Drama, Art and Dance competition. The competition ended with a Sing Down, team cheers and songs, and a chance for each team to spell out
a Hebrew or English word with their bodies! It was a wonderful morning. Please check out the website for more pictures and for video of the Maccabia.
This has truly been a wonderful year. Special thanks are due to all of our
teachers: Beth Walter, Ginny Inlander, Hillary Barnes, Justin Edell, Susie Blank, Meredith Paul, Josh Stone, Marvin Blank, Dane
Perelstein, Jamie Blank, Bryan Schainker, Emily Axel, Barry Daroe, Seth Slaton, Evan Kleymeyer, Brett Chessin, Elle Muhlbaum, Emily
Feldenkris, Gail Rose, Rabbi Apothaker, our Wednesday teacher JoAnne Grossman, and our Administrator Lauren Sferrella.
