Shalom Religious School Families,
Well, we made it! We’ve reached the end of the school year. All of us here at TBS hope that your child leaves this school year feeling connected to his or her Jewish identity, tradition and community. While we feel that we are making progress in developing our Religious School, we know that this is an evolving process and very much welcome your feedback. Please feel free to email or call at any time during this summer. I look forward to speaking with you!
This Sunday, please join us for a Picnic and Maccabia this Sunday. All students will be involved in our Color War on Sunday. ALL PARENTS SHOULD JOIN THEIR STUDENTS at 12:00 p.m. for a BBQ picnic outside on the patio.
Here is a copy of the schedule for this Sunday morning. Parents are asked to join students at 12:00 p.m., but are welcome to be here for all of the morning.
9:00 a.m. K-2 Students and Hebrew Students will have a final session of class
10:00 a.m. All school service and song session
10:30 a.m. Students meet outside (weather permitting) in their color teams. Teachers and High School Madrichim will be team captains. Teams will make banners and team cheers.
10:50 a.m. Maccabbiah begins!
11:45 a.m. Teams gather to share signs and cheers to earn extra points
12:00 p.m. PICNIC LUNCH on the Patio
12:30 p.m. Maccabiah Results Announced!
12:45 p.m. Go home and have a great summer! 1st Day of Class is September 13th 2009!

Upcoming Events:
Last day of Religious School is a Maccabia on this Sunday!
- All school services and song session at 10:00 a.m.
- Shabbat Chai, our warm, toe-tapping under-an-hour musical service is this Friday at 6:15 p.m. followed by dinner.
- Our Next Tot Shabbat is Saturday, May 16th at 4:00 p.m. This fun service and project is perfect for kids ages 2-6!
- Hebrew Camp! The week for Monday August 17th – Thursday August 20th we will be offering a Hebrew Camp program! More information will follow next week. The format of the camp will be: a couple hours of Hebrew Instruction (reading and mitkadem), some service project and some fun field trip each day (Magic Mountain, swimming, etc). If you are interested in the camp, and haven’t yet contacted me, please email or call me ASAP. Thanks!
- The first day of school in the fall is Sunday, September 13th!
